The difference between user interface and experience design
Note: User Interface design is one of several interdisciplinary disciplines involved in designing software products. UX (User Experience), ID (Interaction Design), and Visual/Graphic Design can all be involved in user interface design.
1. What is user interface design?
Broadly speaking, the user interface is the medium through which humans communicate with machines. The user gives a command to the machine, and the machine starts a process of replying to the message and giving feedback. Users can decide the next step based on user feedback.
Human Computer Interaction (HCI, Human Computer Interaciton) is mainly concerned with digital interface, that is, the punch machine, command line in the past, until today's graphical interface (GUI, Graphic Design).
User interface design for digital products is mainly concerned with layout, information structure, and the display of interface elements on the screen and various terminal platforms. Video game and TV interfaces are also included.
